Montitxelvo[2] (Valencian pronunciation: [montiˈtʃɛlvo]), co-officially Montichelvo (Spanish pronunciation: [montiˈtʃelbo]), is a municipality in the comarca of Vall d'Albaida in the province of Valencia and the Valencian Community, Spain. The municipality spans across a total area of 8.16 km2 and, as of 1 January 2022, it has a registered population of 571.[3]

In old sources, the placename is documented as Montichervo.[4] After 1612, the place was ethnic cleansed of moriscos and resettled by Old Christians.[5]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
