Matthews Beachcroft was Governor of the Bank of England from 1756 to 1758. He had been Deputy Governor from 1754 to 1756. He replaced Charles Palmer as Governor and was succeeded by Merrick Burrell.[1] Beachcroft's tenure as Governor occurred at the beginning of the Bengal bubble (1757–1769).

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
