Marcus Cooper Walz Walz (born 3 October 1994) is a sprint canoeist. Born in the United Kingdom, he has competed internationally for Spain since the early 2010s. He won the gold medal in the K-1 1000 metres event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.[2] He won the silver medal in the Men's K-4 500 metres event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo with Saúl Craviotto, Carlos Arévalo and Rodrigo Germade.

Born in Oxford to an American father and a British/German mother, the family established in Mallorca when Walz was 3 months old.[3]

On June 26, 2024, the Spanish Olympic Committee, choiced to Cooper with the olympic boat driver Támara Echegoyen as the flag bearers to the París 2024.[4]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
