Mahboubeh Barbari Zharfi (born 28 December 1991) is an Iranian judoka.[1] She competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics as a member of the Refugee Olympic Team in the mixed teams event and at the +78 kg category.[2][3][4]
Life
[edit]Barbari Zharfi was raised in Bandar Anzali in Iran's Gilan province.[5] She began practicing judo at age 15, with her mother's encouragement.[2][5] She later became a member of Iran's national judo team.[2][5]
Barbari Zharfi sought asylum in Germany in 2018 with her daughter.[2][5]
In 2023, she became the first Iranian woman to compete at the World Judo Championships without a hijab.[5]

While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
