The airport is located about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) from the centre of Luang Prabang.[2] The second busiest airport in the country, it is a regional hub for international flights to Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Siem Reap and other cities such as Vientiane and Phongsali.[3] The airport underwent significant expansion work in 2012–13, when it was upgraded and expanded,[4][5] and the runway enlarged.[3]

Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
