Lokikere is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India.[1][2] It is in the Davanagere taluk of Davanagere district.

Demographics

As of the 2001 India census, Lokikere had a population of 5805 with 2971 males and 2834 females.[1] Lokikere is famous for the agriculture; the people grow rice, sugarcane, etc. Lokikere also has a Hanuman temple, which is said to be the protector of the village.

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
