Levenwick is a small village about 17 miles (27 km) south of Lerwick, on the east side of the South Mainland of Shetland, Scotland. It is part of the parish of Dunrossness[1] and the Levenwick Health Centre provides medical support for the Dunrossness area.It contains a local hall that you can hire and a campsite.[2] As well as a small Sandy beach that has otters at it[3]

It was where musician Ian Bairnson grew up.

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
