Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Abkhazia face significant challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents.
Law regarding same-sex sexual activity[edit]
In 1933, Article 121 was added to the Criminal Code, for the entire Soviet Union, that expressly prohibited male homosexuality, with up to five years of hard labor in prison. It is no longer in affect in the Abkhaz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns.
