Katsiveli (Ukrainian: Кацівелі; Russian: Кацивели; Crimean Tatar: Katsiveli, Greek: Κατσιβέλι) is an urban-type settlement in the Yalta Municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and illegally annexed by Russia as the Republic of Crimea.[3]

Katsiveli is located on Crimea's southern shore at an elevation of 68 metres (223 ft).[2] The settlement is located 2.5 km (1.6 mi) west from the town of Simeiz, which it is administratively subordinate to.[1][3] Its population was 658 as of the 2001 Ukrainian census.[3] As of the 2014 census in Crimea, its population had dropped to 529.[4]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
