High Newton is a village in the civil parish of Lindale and Newton-in-Cartmel, in the Westmorland and Furness district, in the ceremonial county of Cumbria, England.

By-pass

Formerly, the village was bisected by the A590 road until a bypass of the village and its neighbour Low Newton was completed.[1] It opened on Tuesday 8 April 2008.

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
