HSU-001 is a class of Chinese unmanned underwater vehicle.

Overview[edit]

The HSU-001 is a Large Displacement Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (LDUUV).[1]

The actual capabilities of HSU-001 are largely unknown.[2] The HSU-001 is thought to be optimized for seabed warfare.[3]

The HSU-001 has limited endurance and is expected to be complemented by longer range UUVs in Chinese service.[4]

History[edit]

The HSU-001 was exhibited for the first time at the People’s Republic of China’s 70th anniversary parade in 2019.[5][6][7]

Specification[edit]

Very little technical details of HSU-001 has been released to the public by the Chinese government, and as of early 2020s, only the following information is known:[8][9][10]

  • Diameter: 1 meter

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
