Liubymivka (Ukrainian: Любимівка) or Dzerzhynskyi (Ukrainian: Дзержинський; Russian: Дзержинский) is a rural settlement in Rovenky urban hromada, Rovenky Raion of Luhansk Oblast (region), Ukraine. Population: 8,578 (2022 estimate)[2]

History[edit]

It was originally known as Liubymivka, until 1926, when it was renamed Dzerzhynskyi by the Soviet government in honor of Bolshevik revolutionary Felix Dzerzhinsky.[3]

During World War II, the town was occupied by Nazi Germany between July 1942 and February 1943.[3]

In 2016 the settlement was renamed Liubymivka as part of decommunization in Ukraine.[4]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
