Chinchwad railway station is an important halt on the Pune Suburban Railway. It connects to the historic centre of Pune and is one of the oldest local railway station. It is located 2.1 km from Chinchwad Bus Terminal, Pune Junction is 18 km away. Few trains travelling from Mumbai to Pune or Kolhapur have their halt on this station. The nearest airport is Pune International Airport which is 15 km away. This is operated by Central Railway division of Indian Railways. This station has four platforms and one footbridge.

Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
