Blues Matters! is a bimonthly British blues magazine.

History

[edit]

Blues Matters! was founded by Alan Pearce in 1999.[1] It is published on a bimonthly basis.[2][1] Alan King and Darren Howells (until 2009) previously served as the magazine's editor-in-chief.[1]

The Blues Foundation, in Memphis, Tennessee, awarded the magazine the "Keeping the Blues Alive" (KBA) Award for 2007, in the Print Media category.[1] This is only the second time a British publication has received the award, and the first time for a Welsh production. Previous recipients have included major titles, such as Rolling Stone.[1] Blues Matters! is also the recipient of the European Blues Awards 2014 in the category of best publication.[3]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
