Bjorn Kristensen (also spelt Bjørn Kristensen;[2] born 5 April 1993) is a Maltese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Hibernians and the Malta national team.

Early and personal life[edit]

Born in Marsaxlokk,[1] Kristensen has a Danish father and Maltese mother.[2] His parents met in Malta and started a family there.[2]

Club career[edit]

He played youth football in Denmark with Hessel Gods Football School and Silkeborg IF.[2] Upon his return to Malta, he began playing with Hibernians during the 2010–11 season.[1][3] In February 2012, he went on trial with English club Everton,[4] and also trialled with German club Werder Bremen.[2]

International career[edit]

He made his senior international debut for Malta on 29 February 2012.[5] He had previously played for the Malta under-21 team.[6]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
