Besh is a village in the former municipality of Zall-Bastar in Tirana County, Albania.[1] At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Tirana.[2]

Demographic history[edit]

Besh (Bensh) is recorded in the Ottoman defter of 1467 as a village in the timar of Mustafa in the nahiyah of Benda. The settlement was small with only a total of three households represented by: Kal Sundia, Shtjafën Bozhiku, and Martin Franku.[3]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
