Balapur is a suburb in Hyderabad district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is located in Balapur mandal of Kandukur revenue division.[1] Balapur is one of the biggest refugee settlements in India, especially Rohingyas.[2]

Culture[edit]

The place is known for the auction of Laddu prasadam during Vinayaka Chavithi.[3] The annual procession of Vinayaka Chaviti, starts from Balapur in old city.In balpur [4]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
