QuiteRSS is a free and open source cross-platform news aggregator for RSS and Atom news feeds.[1] QuiteRSS is released under the GPL-3.0-or-later license. It is available for Microsoft Windows, MacOS, Linux, and OS/2.[2] QuiteRSS is also available as a portable application for Windows.[3]

Features

[edit]

QuiteRSS has two layout modes, classic and newspaper.[4] The classic layout has a three-panel view for the feed list, posts and browser.[5] The program supports tabbed browsing, import/export of OPML feeds, basic web browsing functions, adblocking, tags and system tray integration.[6] It uses the WebKit browsing engine for its embedded browser[7][8]

In 2020, support for Media-RSS was added which allows multimedia content to be sent in an RSS feed.[9]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
