Mashi is a Local Government Area in Katsina State, Nigeria, sharing a border with the Republic of Niger. Its headquarters is in the town of Mashi in the southwest of the area at12°59′00″N 7°57′00″E / 12.98333°N 7.95000°E / 12.98333; 7.95000.

It has an area of 905 km2 and a population of 173,134 at the 2006 census.

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
