Career

[edit]

Taylor attended Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He played college baseball at California State University, Long Beach, Cypress College and the University of California, Irvine. He was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 20th round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft out of Cypress but did not sign and transferred to Irvine.[1] He was then selected again by the Mariners in the 12th round of the 2022 MLB draft, and signed.[2]

Taylor spent his first professional season in 2023 with the Modesto Nuts and Everett AquaSox. He started 2024 with Everett before being promoted to the Arkansas Travelers.

On August 10, 2024, Taylor was selected to the 40-man roster and promoted to the major leagues for the first time.[3] Taylor made his MLB debut with the Mariners the next day.[4][failed verification]
