Hutcherson TFAR[edit]

I've decided not to run this on 12 March for the reasons raised in the discussion. If you want to run it this month, I can offer you a non-date-related slot on 28th, provided this is not requested in the meantime by someone with a strong claim on that date. Or you may wish to choose a date that is a better fit for Hutcherson. Please let me know. Brianboulton (talk) 02:09, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

@Brianboulton: Thanks for the note. I'd appreciate if you could put it in the 28th slot for now, provided nobody else jumps in asking for the date. My time on here is going to decrease soon, so it would certainly be nice to see it on the main page before I head off for a little while :) Gloss 04:04, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
@Brianboulton: I see you closed the nomination. Does that mean you didn't schedule it for the 28th? Gloss 16:12, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
No, it means I'm holding it for that date – but I didn't want to occupy one of the TFAR date slots. I am likely to schedule it round about 8–10 March. If the plan has to change, I'll let you know. Brianboulton (talk) 16:18, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
@Brianboulton: Ok great, thank you. Gloss 16:21, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Kael Mouillierat[edit]

I'm not sure but I think the acquired year is when he was first traded, drafted or signed as a free agent. That's why I reverted my own edit when realized that the Isles signed him to a two-way contract in the summer of 2014. But it's a minor point, it doesn't hurt anything and it's the same season!! Thanks!! Raul17 (talk) 22:59, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

When I added Matt Carkner to the Bridgeport roster, someone changed the year acquired to 2015 because that's when he was acquired by the Sound Tigers, so that leads me to believe that 2015 makes sense here too. I'm not positive either way, but luckily it's not a huge deal like you said! Gloss 23:04, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Gloss. I would like to know why the GA nomination on All About That Bass failed. I understand that it is too lengthy, but I don't see how that will affect the status. ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, Gloss 19:47, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

Signpost exit poll[edit]

Dear Wikipedian, you recently voted in the ArbCom election. Your username, along with around 155 other usernames of your fellow Wikipedians, was randomly selected from the 2000+ Wikipedians who voted this year, with the help of one of the election-commissioners. If you are willing, could you please participate (at your option either on-wiki via userspace or off-wiki via email) in an exit poll, and answer some questions about how you decided amongst the ArbCom candidates?

If you decide to participate in this exit poll, the statistical results will be published in the Signpost, an online newspaper with over 1000 Wikipedians among the readership. There are about twelve questions, which have alphanumerical answers; it should take you a few minutes to complete the exit poll questionnaire, and will help improve Wikipedia by giving future candidates information about what you think is important. This is only an unofficial survey, and will have no impact on your actual vote during this election, nor in any future election.

All questions are individually optional, and this entire exit poll itself is also entirely optional, though if you choose not to participate, I would appreciate a brief reply indicating why you decided not to take part (see Question Zero). Thanks for being a Wikipedian

The questionnaire[edit]

Dear Wikipedian, please fill out these questions -- at your option via usertalk or via email, see Detailed Instructions at the end of the twelve questions -- by putting the appropriate answer in the blanks provided. If you decide not to answer a question (all questions are optional), please put the reason down: "undecided" / "private information" / "prefer not to answer" / "question is not well-posed" / "other: please specify". Although the Signpost cannot guarantee that complex answers can be processed for publication, it will help us improve future exit polls, if you give us comments about why you could not answer specific questions.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers roster[edit]

I have been away from WP for awhile, I'm not really up to date on the rules and regs, but I didn't understand why you removed Berube and Strome from the roster. You said that they are "no longer eligible to play on this team without passing through waivers", but Strome began the season at Bridgeport and Berube never was placed on waivers to play for Bridgeport; he was assigned there on a conditioning loan which could be applied to any player on a NHL roster. Unless both players have a "no move" clause in their respective contracts, there was no reason for them being removed.

Anyways, I'm just trying to understand the WP concepts. Thanks for listening to my ranting! Raul17 II (talk) 01:35, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

Berube and Strome[edit]

Hey there! Strome cannot go to Bridgeport without waivers after playing a certain number of NHL games, which is something he recently passed. I'm not sure of the exact details. And Berube was still on the Islanders roster the whole time, a conditioning stint doesn't mean they are a part of the minor league team's roster as far as I'm aware. He was still considered one of the 23 players for the Islanders roster. And since both would have to pass through waivers to come play for Bridgeport, there's no need to leave them there, unless you believe otherwise? Gloss 03:55, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

Yes, I know that. I guess what I was trying to say that there is still a possibility they could play in the AHL either by passing through waivers or being on a conditioning loan. Last season, if I remember correctly, the Devils sent down one of their forwards to Albany on a conditioning loan because he has not played in a while. Apparently, coming off IR or missing time because of an injury was not necessary to be eligible for conditioning assistance.
Anyways, I guess I am just having flashbacks to when an Editor removed several Islanders players off the roster because they have not played there since the opening month of the season and then the Islanders assigned them to Bridgeport for the playoffs!
Thanks for responding!
