Description
This short story, set hundreds of years in the future, describes how a revolutionary leader accomplished a military coup d’etat, and used the weapons of war to end war. The world is demilitarized, thus there can be war no more. Wealth is re-distributed. The isms that divide us are challenged, and individual welfare is cherished.
My name is Frantz Fanon. In less than an hour, I will be recognized as Emperor of the world. It is a title that I both crave and detest. My task, in the next 30 minutes, is to decide what to say as I address the people of the world, and how to alleviate their anxieties. I am not worried or nervous; I have planned for this day for as long as I can remember.
