  • Oregon Blue Book City Governments Directory-Mostly profiles, but has elevation data (missing from a lot of city articles), has accurate and current website addresses for city governments, and some basic information that may be helpful for infoboxes.

Images needed[edit]

It's useful to add photographs, maps, and other images to existing city articles. A priority should be on the larger cities outside of Portland, as there aren't as many (or no) photographs of them. Location maps would need to be created for new cities, and flags and city seals ought to be tracked down.

City seals and flags often have a unique copyright status[why?], and permission for use or use of reproductions must be obtained first from the city in question before use in Wikipedia. A note that permission was received should accompany a seal copyright tag on the image's description page.

See below for seals/logos that are off-limits for use on Wikipedia.

Just taking images off government websites, then uploading them to Wikipedia is not acceptable without permission.

City infoboxes and flags/seals lists[edit]

All cities should already have infoboxes except for new cities. It's nice to add images of flags and seals if the articles don't have them, but see about permission, above, and make sure you tag the images with the proper license so they don't get deleted.
