The result of the discussion was No consensus; the user seems to be in the process of migrating to Wikia, which is probably for the best; once ready, please tag your userpage with {{Db-userreq}}. ☺ · Salvidrim! ·  15:53, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a web host. This page is being used to host a mish mash of of stuff not related to the development of Wikipedia. There are other places to host stuff like this. Whpq (talk) 11:16, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

SPEEDY KEEP: User is expressly drafting contributions to the encyclopedia.—Machine Elf 1735 14:46, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Per Wikipedia:Speedy keep, which of the 5 conditions do you think apply. With respect to these being drafts for the encyclopedia, I would point out that the editor's last article space edit was a gnomish edit on 26 June 2013. Prior to that, we would need to reach all the way back to 4 October 2008. -- Whpq (talk) 16:35, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The one that says don't go around nominating the user page of editors in good standing for deletion without cause. Not only is there no deadline, he's under no obligation to eventually contribute any draft content in addition to his prior gnome edits.—Machine Elf 1735 01:29, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I always knew this day was coming. Users are not allowed to express opinions or do original research and for those at the bottom of the heap Wikipedia is not a democracy. I asked for help in creating a Wiki but of course got none - in fact no reply at all.
I ask that when the page is deleted its history is also deleted, and that deletion is complete and irreversible. There is material which may be commercially sensitive or which later became commercially sensitive. It may even be potentially militarily sensitive or present a serious threat in the hands of terrorist organizations. Fortunately it is deeply hidden in a vast number of previous edits, and is not easily extracted. I also point out that the material carries a copywrite notice and has from its earliest edit versions.
By The Way I may not have contributed directly to page edits - I got burned for doing that early on, but I do have a number of contributions through talk pages and am (or have been) a regular user. Lucien86 (talk) 18:42, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You're really not doing anything wrong on your user page. If anyone doesn't like it, they can make suggestions on your talk page. They can't just get your user page deleted. On the other hand, if you yourself would like the page+history deleted for any reason, just say so and they'll do that for you right away.—Machine Elf 1735 01:29, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As I said in my talk page I mainly use the page as an editing platform/tool and have been careful not to advertise it outside of Wikipedia. I certainly would like to keep using the page. I know that the real solution is to create a Wiki, but while I am good at computer theory I am not so good at the everyday practical side especially unix/linux, I could do it but its a matter of putting the time in. I know I will have to eventually. Thanks for you input MachineElf. Lucien86 (talk) 03:09, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As pointed out in the nomination, there are other places to host wikis. A popular one is Wikia. -- Whpq (talk) 08:45, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Whpq, I'm starting to have a look, there does seem to be a lot of choice out there.. Lucien86 (talk) 15:11, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, could anyone give some kind of time limit or schedule on this please? I was under the impression that it was seven days, but it is now beyond that. I wouldn't want to be editing and accidently save a section after the page had been deleted - if that is the decision. I always keep a full up to date backup of the page, so if I do need to move it that is already in hand. I guess my biggest problem is that I am used to the Wikipedia editor and how things work here. Sometimes these go long, in the event it is deleted, I am willing to provide you a copy by email. — xaosflux Talk 01:38, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
