This is currently not possible. There is a feature request for it at phab:T54180, which you can watch to know when it is fixed. (You may also wish to vote for it by clicking the 'award a token' button, or add information (proposed UI designs) by leaving a comment. However, please be more selective when doing so. You have welcomed multiple users who had to be blocked for vandalism. We should not welcome vandals.

There is a bot that automatically welcomes users, too: HostBot. If the community wants to welcome everyone, the community will reconfigure the bot to do so. No human needs to do so.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm trying to balance figuring everything out and wanting to help with expansion/cleanup without falling entirely down the hole as I tend to do with projects new to me! The variety of areas to help is a bit overwhelming, are there any specific areas you'd recommend focusing on for someone just starting out? I've been gravitating towards wanting to fix redlinks that should lead to existing articles since that's what prompted me to make an account in the first place, but that doesn't seem to be the easiest thing to locate (except by chance), or the most useful thing I could be doing.
I don't really understand the Talk pages yet at all so I hope I'm doing this right

I am also someone who uses emojis frequently and feel weird without them haha
