January 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Curb Safe Charmer. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to HTML element have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Information icon Hi Misbah6666! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. David Biddulph (talk) 12:23, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon You've done it again in this edit. Please don't mark your edits as minor unless they meet the definition at Help:Minor edit. David Biddulph (talk) 12:33, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Stop icon @Misbah6666: And you are still doing it today, such as in this edit. If you continue this deception of marking non-minor edits as minor you are liable to be blocked from editing. --David Biddulph (talk) 13:47, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
noted with thanks Misbah6666 (talk) 06:07, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in HTML editor. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. As one example, please read MOS:YOU. - David Biddulph (talk) 12:26, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. MrExamples[edit]

Please can you explain why all the references you've added are to the MrExamples website? What is your connection with this site? This appears to be a site that was launched in 2022 rather than an established, authoritative source for the information you're adding. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 14:14, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I have added because of the site's unique content and examples it has given are more deeper and reliable in respect of coding OR programming whether its about compilers OR exercises. I also found it's tutorials muchuseful. Misbah6666 (talk) 05:57, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
stop please stop adding content about how to do things with HTML. That is not what Wikipedia is for. If people want to learn how to write HTML there are WP:ALTERNATIVE places they can do that. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, WP:NOTHOWTO. MrExamples is not considered a reliable source and what you are adding appears to be an attempt at WP:SEO. That is not welcome here. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 09:05, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ok noted with thanks, but my intention was to teach people about coding / HtML and I know very well what Wikipedia is mate. However, I second you in this regard. Misbah6666 (talk) 09:12, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
