If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Elvin Jamalov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Re: Notability of footballers[edit]

In order have an article on Wikipedia, a subject must meet certain inclusion criteria called notability guidelines. For footballers are two such guidelines which are applicable. First, the general notability guideline, which applies to all subjects, says that a subject is presumed notable if there has been significant coverage in reliable sources. In the context of football, this means coverage that goes well beyond the routine reporting of sports results and statistics currently cited in the article on Tellur Mutallimov. Second, the football specific notability guideline says that a footballers are notable if they have in a fully professional league or for their country's senior national team. You'll note the guideline explicitly links to WP:FPL for purpose evaluating full-professionalism. Since Mutallimov has not played for Azerbaijan, and the fully pro status of the leagues in which he has played has not been ascertained (despite numerous attempts), he does not meet this guideline either. Finally, with regards the sentence you quoted from WP:FPL, this is simply a matter of form. The template containing this sentence is placed at the top of all essays on notability written by WikiProjects, given that the degree to which such essays are supported by consensus can vary greatly. In this particular case however, the advice is so well supported that it explicitly referred to in an official guideline, and has formed the basis of almost every deletion discussion regarding footballers. I hope that clarifies things. Sir Sputnik (talk) 21:53, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

Hello.

User:Cavadxangence1992 (and through his other accounts) constantly changes the population numbers of the city of Ganja by bloating them up to 825,900 for the city and 1,000,000 for the metropolitan area, contradicting the official sources about its actual population which stands at 325,000 (as of the year 2015) and does it cross wiki in the Ganja city articles, including in the Azerbaijani Wikipedia. Can you restore the correct population numbers and find official data which repudiates the made up inflated population numbers?

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.200.20.113 (talk) 12:47, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Alabama Ambulance.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Alabama Ambulance.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
