[edit]

Hello, I'm Nigel757. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Ramat Eshkol seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Nigel757 (talk) 17:25, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Ramat Eshkol. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Nigel757 (talk) 17:36, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

you reverted my original update, and I re-edited it to a more universal opinion and you deleted it, why?? 2603:3003:3502:BA00:C062:50B7:2EA7:930E (talk) 17:38, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My re-update is not a "personal opinion" it is documented FACT stated by millions of people and mentioned in the Bible, seems like a bit of a double standard on Wikipedia..as it states that it is captured land, when many, many others dont see it that way at all 2603:3003:3502:BA00:C062:50B7:2EA7:930E (talk) 17:40, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, as you did with this edit to Ramat Eshkol, you may be blocked from editing. Nigel757 (talk) 17:52, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

unreal....it seems that Wikipedia has such a pathetic double standard....why wont you answer my question? Im not being disruptive, I am editing a one sided jilted opinion, how is it fair that the current paragraph is strongly leaning towards only half of the facts? 2603:3003:3502:BA00:C062:50B7:2EA7:930E (talk) 17:59, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please take a look at my response below under the article discussion heading. I do strongly invite you to open a discussion on Talk:Ramat Eshkol regarding the proposed change. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Disruptive editing specifically example 5. Nigel757 (talk) 18:06, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Just to give you additional context on the revert, the edits were reverted due to it not adding any context, but instead may unintentionally look biased one way or the other, since what was changed was already said, but added language to insinuate the view is false. Open to discussion on it on the article talk page or here! Nigel757 (talk) 17:42, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

i hear you based on my first edit---HOWEVER, my second edit just gives the opinion of the other side of the argument..so please re-instate it thanks 2603:3003:3502:BA00:C062:50B7:2EA7:930E (talk) 17:45, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
..to reiterate, the original text is extremely one sided and jilted, and as you yourself just said , " instead may unintentionally look biased one way or the other,"..my 2nd edit balances the paragraph and with out it, it is very one sided 2603:3003:3502:BA00:C062:50B7:2EA7:930E (talk) 17:49, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand what you're saying, but the article isn't the place for the opinion, see Wikipedia:No original research, specifically the section under Neutral point of view. The current language is there because it is factual and does not take one side over the other. It states that the widely accepted view is that the settlements are illegal and that Israel disputes that. If you would like to open a discussion on the article's talk page to allow other editors to weigh in, that would be the way to go about it. Further edits violating Wikipedia's policy may result in you being blocked from editing. Nigel757 (talk) 17:56, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The issue is, is that it ISNT the "widely accepted view" the are tens of millions of people if not more who strongly disagree with that. So it isnt a fact with a few disputers, that isnt it at all 2603:3003:3502:BA00:C062:50B7:2EA7:930E (talk) 18:13, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are invited to open a discussion on the talk page to propose a change in the language. Nigel757 (talk) 18:15, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify, the Ramat Eshkol page is within scope of the Wikipedia:Arbitration/Index/Palestine-Israel_articles restrictions. Editors must be extended-confirmed to edit or discuss this topic except for making edit requests. You are not extended-confirmed. You can make an edit request. Edit requests most likely to succeed are those that are 'Specific, Uncontroversial, Necessary, Sensible' per WP:EDITXY. Sean.hoyland (talk) 14:43, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
