- Comment: The hook is simple math from two sources. The NY Times article establishes she was VP candidate in 1984. The Daily News article establishes that she was elected to the school board in 1977.

This is my first review, please excuse me for any mistakes I might make. Overall, the hook looks good & interesting, article is new enough, and seems to be neutral and adequately sourced. I'm not familiar with American politics, so I'm assuming "running mate" would mean VP, yes?
