I'm just tossing out an idea. Currently, the article uses customary measurements for American locations and metric for Canadian ones. The conversion is listed afterwards for the other respective system. This means the article isn't internally consistent. In the future, I see three options:
Do nothing and let the inconsistency stand as an eccentricity.
Harmonize everything to list customary first. In 1971, Canada was still in the early days of metrication, so the measurements were given in contemporaneous news accounts in customary units, and it's only the modern compilations of the records in Canada that have things listed in metric.
Harmonize everything to list metric first. This could get weird if someone does the math and determines that more of the prose is about American locations.
Just some thoughts for discussion. Imzadi 1979→ 04:04, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
