Chemicals that inhibit the use of a metabolite
Pyrimidine analogues are antimetabolites which mimic the structure of metabolic pyrimidines.

Medical uses
[edit]Pyrimidine antimetabolites are commonly used to treat cancer by interfering with DNA replication.[1]
