The Mughrabi Bridge is a wooden bridge connecting the Western Wall with the Mughrabi Gate of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

History
To the Mughrabi-Gate led until 2004, an artificially heaped earth ramp. It allowed the visitors direct access to Temple Mount. During a snowstorm, but the ramp was collapsed. The wooden bridge was built in 2007 as a temporary measure, and should have stayed only a few months, until a stable and secure construction replaced the earth ramp. To build a stable structure with concrete columns, the remains of the earth ramp and the underlying material have been investigated archaeologically. However, Israel's actions were criticized internationally. Arab states threatened with war, international inspectors, on the UNESCO where sent to Israel to prevent the "occupied territory" to change the status quo. Guardians of the Dome of the Rock in all seriousness claimed that Israel had tried to work to bring the 400 m distant Dome of the Rock to collapse. For this reason, the temporary wooden bridge was preserved longer than originally planned.
