Jessica Gagen (born 1996 or 1997)[2] is an English model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss England 2023 and represented her country at Miss World 2023. Gagen holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Liverpool, and is an advocate for women and girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). She additionally works as a fashion model.[2]

Miss England[edit]

Gagen was crowned Miss England in October 2022, and was the first runner up in the previous year.[1] In the autumn of 2023, she visited Las Vegas, Nevada to give a keynote speech at the ASCEND Space Conference;[3] she then visited NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida to tour Boeing facilities.[4][5]

Gagen is the first redhead to win Miss England.[1]

Miss World 2023[edit]

Gagen represented England at Miss World 2023, from 18 February 2024 to 9 March 2024 in India.[6] Gagen wore a Mary-Poppins inspired dress for the Miss World opening ceremonies.[7] During the fast-track event head-to-head speaking competition, Gagen secured her place in the top 40, with a speech about climate change and women in engineering.[7] She was later crowned Miss World Europe.[citation needed]
