Henock Inonga Baka (born 1 November 1993), sometimes known as Varane,[2] is a Congolese professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Simba and the DR Congo national team.

Career[edit]

Inonga Baka began his senior career with the Congolese club Renaissance in the Linafoot in 2016, and became their captain in 2017.[3] In 2018, he transferred to DCMP and helped them win the 2021 Coupe du Congo.[2] On 15 August 2021, he moved to the Tanzanian club Simba S.C..[4] He helped Simba win the 2023 Tanzania Community Shield and 2022 Mapinduzi Cup where he was the man of the match in the final.[5]

International[edit]

Ingonga Baka was first called up to the DR Congo national team for the 2020 African Nations Championship.[6] He was called up to the national team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.[7]
