Deutsch: Das 1867 entstandene Gemälde "Religionsgespräch zu Marburg" zeigt den Disput Martin Luthers mit dem Schweizer Reformator Ulrich Zwingli im Jahr 1529 in Marburg über das Verständnis des Abendmahls. Zu diesem Streitgespräch eingeladen hatte Landgraf Philipp der Großmütige, der auf dem Schloss in Marburg residierte und die Reformation in Hessen eingeführt hatte. Er sitzt links am Tischrand, neben ihm Herzog Ulrich von Württemberg.
