Summary

Description The Downtown Seattle Penney's store in May 1982, just after its closure. This view is looking west on Pike Street at Second Avenue, and the Pike Place Market sign is visible in the background. The former J.C. Penney department store building, which had been built in 1930 for the short-lived Fraser-Patterson department store, was demolished in 1989.
