Highsmith Archive.; Title, date and keywords based on information provided by the photographer.; Built in 1902 with money donated to the community by steel baron Andrew Carnegie, the Colonial Revival-style building was used by the old Greenbrier College for Women. Condemned and scheduled for demolition in the 1980s, the building was saved by community preservationists, who turned it into a not-for-profit arts and education center.
