English: Sprites - Arizona Biltmore Hotel, Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Architect Albert Chase McArthur (1881–1951), with consulting work by Frank Lloyd Wright (1867–1959). These sprites were designed by sculptor Alfonso Iannelli. They were first installed in 1914 at Midway Gardens in Chicago, and consequently now in the public domain.
Date Hotel opened in 1929; this photograph taken February 4, 2009.
