The Real Kerala Story or Real Kerala Stories[1] refers to the religious harmony practices adopted by the Indian state of Kerala towards religious harmony.[2][3][4][5] and humanitarian initiatives in Kerala [6][7][8][9][10]

It is a protest, The Real Kerala Story which tells the truth about Kerala in India, where the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and its affiliates are spreading political lies against Kerala in films,[11] political campaigns and the IT wing.[12][13]

Kerala is a place where people naturally live among different cultures, people who consider the interaction of cultures and care for others as important, people who struggle for survival despite limitations, people who have given dignity to politics and social consciousness, Kerala is a place where people live.[14]

"The Kerala Story" is a 2023 Indian Hindi film about the state of Kerala Spreading false information and stories against Kerala society[15][16].Pinarayi Vijayan (Chief Minister of Kerala),[17] Secular thinkers and public in Kerala are protesting against this film and against the ruling party of India and its affiliates[18] and the IT cell that supports it. In the movie Kerala Story, Kerala in India is described in such a way as to break the religious harmony of Kerala. 'The Real Kerala Story' addresses the real religious and social life of Kerala and presents the social life of Kerala to outsiders. By means, this is the real social life and religious harmony in Kerala[19]

More precisely, the Real Kerala Story has been defined as: The Real Kerala Story of Communal-harmony, Love, Charity and Humanity [6][20][21]

Kerala is a model of religious harmony[edit]

Hindus are the majority in Kerala but they co-exist amicably with Muslims and Christians, and Muslims and Christians co-exist amicably with the Hindu community. In this respect, Kerala is a model of religious harmony - far from many countries and even other states of India[22].

Vavar Mosque is the symbol of the harmony between Hindus and Muslims In Kerala Vavar was a Muslim saint, in whose memory there is a deity Vavarswami close to the proximity of the main Ayyappa Swami Temple at Sabarimala, Kerala by the side of Holy Pathinettampady (eighteen steps). This deity of Vavar is believed to as old as the Ayyapa deity at Sabarimala main temple. A Muslim priest performs the rituals even today. There is no distinguishable idol, but just a carved stone slab symbolises the deity of Vavarswami.[23][24]

Muslim Youth wing conducts Hindu wedding in Kerala temple[edit]

The youth committee of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), a political outfit primarily based in Kerala, helped a Hindu couple wed in a temple at Malappuram. The district, home to the largest Muslim population in Kerala, hosted the wedding of Geethu and Vishnu at the Vengara Sri Ammancheri Bhagavathi temple On 2023 July 10.[25][26][27]

Muslim community helps Hindu youth's family by giving blood money[edit]

  • In 2023, The Muslim community helped Divesh, a resident of Pathalkad in Malappuram district, to return home from his imprisonment in Qatar due to violation of the law by paying Rs 46 lakh as blood money. released, Divesh was in jail in connection with the accidental death of an Egyptian national. It happened when his vehicle carelessly reversed. For Divesh's release, Muslim helped the Egyptian's family pay Rs 46 lakh as blood money to the deceased on May 14. Vallikunnu MLA P. P. Abdul Hameed, local residents and various organizations A support committee was formed to raise funds. The family reached out for help Panakkad Munavareli Shihab Thangal with help. Through media and social media The required amount was collected from the Muslim community within days.[5]

Hindu Temples host Iftar for Muslims community in Kerala[edit]

Crowdfunding to help people of Kerala[edit]

Pinarayi Vijayan (Chief Minister of Kerala) has condemned national broadcaster Doordarshan's plan to screen the controversial Hindi movie 'The Kerala Story' [45][46]

The Congress in Kerala on 2024 April 5, approached the Election Commission of India (ECI) against the decision of Doordarshan to telecast the controversial movie 'The Kerala Story', saying it was a "tacit effort" to divide society on religious grounds to further the electoral prospects of the ruling BJP. The decision of Doordarshan evoked strong protests from both the ruling CPI(M) and the opposition Congress in Kerala.[47][48]

Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) the youth wing of the ruling CPI(M) expressed strong protest on Friday against the decision to telecast the movie and said it would organise a protest march to the Doordarshan office in the state capital.[49]

Reward for proving false information of Kerala[edit]

A Muslim Youth League in Kerala, India, has announced a cash reward of Rs 10 million for those who can provide evidence of claims made in an Indian film that false information about Kerala has recruited thousands of Hindu and Christian women from the state into the armed forces of ISIL (ISIS).[50][51][52][53]
