Dougherty Township is one of sixteen townships in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, United States. As of the 2000 census, its population was 275.

History[edit]

Dougherty Township was named for Daniel Dougherty, an early prominent resident.[3]

Geography[edit]

Dougherty Township covers an area of 35.96 square miles (93.1 km2) and contains one incorporated settlement, Dougherty. According to the USGS, it contains one cemetery, Saint Patricks Catholic.
