This WikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the European countries France and Monaco with a spirit of cooperation. This page and its future subpages contain suggestions on formatting and layout of articles, which can be discussed at the project's talk page.

To participate, simply add your name to the members subpage.

Scope

This project covers the creation and editing of articles related to the nation of France, its cities, counties, geography, transportation, culture, history and so on. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on France in a fair and accurate manner. We shall also work with articles related to the neighboring microstate of Monaco.

Project divisions

  • Categorization (talk) — Categorization of France-related articles
  • Cities (talk) — Cities, towns, villages and districts
  • Physical geography (talk) — Regions, parks, climate, physical features
  • Transportation (talk) — Roads, trails and rails in and around France.
  • Culture (talk) — Music, art, icons, mass communication
  • People (talk) — includes residents of the current nation of France, all its predecessors, and all those people who have resided in any of France's predecessor states who have shaped France
  • Government (talk) — Governance, as well as federal, state and local politics in relation to France and its predecessors
  • History (talk) — history of France and its predecessors
  • Photo requests (talk) — List of requested photos.

Every member should feel free to inform the managers of these portals if they have worked on an article which they believe would be of interest to the above portals.
