This is a list of members of the Norwegian Parliament (Storting), in the period 2013 to 2017. The 169 members were elected in the Norwegian parliamentary election on 9 September 2013.
Each representative represents a county (fylke) and the seats are apportioned depending to each county's population and area. A reapportionment occurred before the 2013 election, resulting in Oslo gaining two representatives, Akershus, Rogaland, and Hordaland gaining one, while Hedmark, Sogn og Fjordane, Nord-Trøndelag, Nordland, and Troms each lost one compared to the 2009-2013 parliament.
The new term begins on 1 October 2013, while the ceremonial opening takes place 9 October 2013. The term ends on 30 September 2017.
Distribution by party
A total of 169 representatives were elected, distributed as follows:
- 7 to the Socialist Left Party (Sosialistisk Venstreparti)
- 55 to the Labour Party (Arbeiderpartiet)
- 10 to the Centre Party (Senterpartiet)
- 1 to the Green Party (Miljøpartiet De Grønne)
- 10 to the Christian Democratic Party (Kristelig Folkeparti)
- 9 to the Liberal Party (Venstre)
- 48 to the Conservative Party (Høyre)
- 29 to the Progress Party (Fremskrittspartiet)
If a representative is absent, for example due to the person being appointed to the cabinet, a deputy (vara) from the same party list will take the seat.
The Socialist Left, Labour, and Centre parties made up the Red–green coalition between 2005 and 2013, but they lost the majority in 2013 and the prime minister announced that his cabinet would step down after their budget proposal is submitted. The non-socialist parties consist of the Christian Democratic, Liberal, Conservative, and Progress parties. On 30 September 2013 it was announced that the Conservative and Progress parties would form a minority cabinet with confidence and supply from the Liberal and Christian Democratic parties. Final negotiations between the Conservative and Progress parties are ongoing as of 6 October 2013.
The seats are distributed by proportional representation within each county. A system of 19 leveling seats also ensures near proportionality on a nationwide level, but only for parties that pass the election threshold of 4%. A party can still win regular seats if it fails to meet the threshold; for this parliament this applies to the Green Party who gained one seat from Oslo.
