Ion Cristoiu (born November 16, 1948, Găgeşti, Vrancea County) is a Romanian journalist. He founded in 1993 the daily Evenimentul Zilei and was an unofficial counselor for president Emil Constantinescu.

Presently, he writes for Jurnalul Naţional, a paper owned by Dan Voiculescu, the founder of the Conservative Party (Partidul Conservator).
