David Mark Hill (May 24, 1960 – June 6, 2008) was an American spree killer who killed three people in South Carolina.[3]
Biography
Hill met his Jacqueline Hill in 1991, in which they got married. They had three children and one of them got into an accident that resulted into being in a wheelchair.[2] With that happening, Hill had felt different.[2] He had struggled with being depressed, suffering from panic attacks and also having typical seizures after that happened.[4] He had his own The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church.[1]
Hill had began to act as a spree killer after receiving a notice from his wife to file a divorce against him.[4] He was involved in some murders which had resulted three people being killed, in which he was suspected that Hill was the murderer since he had visited a department of social office.[5] It was stated that he also assaulted a person which was his daughter.[1] He killed them since it was for taking his children away from him, in which there was a restraining order against Hill.[3][6]
Hill had killed Michael Gregory, Josie Curry and Jimmy Riddle, who were all workers at the department of social office.[4] Their bodies were found and he was suspected as the murderer, in which he was later found by the police with using identification resources for which Hill had shot himself with a shotgun.[6][7][8] He was arrested for which Hill was sent to a hospital to get better and had threatened that he wanted to die at September 16, 1996, but he got moved to a prison that's located in Georgia.[4][6][7]
In 2000, Hill had a trial for which there was a statement from his wife that he tried to kill himself at least three times.[9] He had a lawyer who was David Miller and the trial had ended for Hill to serve his death sentences.[10][11][12] In 2007, there was a year left until his execution for which one of his children was at least 21 years old.[12]
Hill was executed via lethal injection on June 6, 2008, in South Carolina.[13] He was pronounced dead at 6:17pm.[13]
