On February 12, 2024, a shooting occurred at the New York City Subway's Mount Eden Avenue station in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx at 4:38 pm EST, resulting in one dead and five injured.[1][2] A 34-year-old man died, and two women and three men aged between 14 and 71 sustained injuries.[3]
Incident
The incident started as a verbal dispute between two groups in the 4 train. The verbal dispute escalated violently and resulted in gunfire while inside the train, with at least 19 shots fired. The violence continued outside of the train at Mount Eden Avenue station.[4][5]
