Eurycratides (Greek: Εὐρυκρατίδης, "wide ruler") was the thirteenth king of Sparta from the Agiad dynasty.[1] He succeeded his father Anaxander[2] around 615 BC and reigned during a devastating period of war with Tegea.[3][4]

In 590 BC, Eurycratides was succeeded by his son Leon ("lion").[5] His grandson was King Anaxandridas II.
