Lucky Luciano is a 1973 Italian crime drama film directed by Francesco Rosi. It stars Gian Maria Volontè and Vincent Gardenia.[1] It was shown as part of the Cannes Classics section of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.[2]

Rod Steiger, playing Gene Giannini, is filmed in a medium long shot sitted on the right side of the screen with, in the background a map of Italy. Ten years earlier, in Hands over the City, similar shot has been done with a map on Napoli whereas Rod Steiger was playing Edoardo Nottola.
