I've been using the username Smartdust on the italian Wikipedia (http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utente:Smartdust) since 2006. I wanted to use the same name in the english Wikipedia too, but another user had already subscribed with that name (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Smartdust). However, the mentioned user only has three edits over two days in 2006, so I would guess he's not using the account anymore. Therefore, I'd like to know if it's possible to proceed with the merging procedure between my italian username and that unused version in the english Wiki.
