This request is responding to the direction to change my ProQOL username to my other username bhstamm and subsequently being instructed to to follow usurpation procedures. Subsequent to scrutinizing the Usurpation procedures in order not to make yet another mistake, I have taken the following actions:

Following the Wikipedia directions on Changing usernames/usurpations From the Notes Section

  • Point 1: "The account you want to usurp should have no edits or significant log entries to qualify for usurpation.": I checked and there were 0 edits.
  • Point 2 "Because of the unified login facility, you should check to ensure that your desired name is not already taken by users on other Wikimedia projects, which may prevent your request from being processed (even if the SUL does not currently exist)": The username did exist.

Prior to leaving my request at bhstamm talk for usurpation as well as a response to that request, there were no edits in the account. As the name does exist (it is me) and I posted notification of usurpation two edits exist: (1) for usurpation and (2) noting no disagreement with the usurpation request.

Comment: Point 1, 2 are to leave a message on the talk page of the target account notifying the user of your request. The directions say to do this from the current account account but could not find a way to post to bhstamm directly from there. When I tried to reach bhstamm from proqol I was unable to do so. I subsequently logged into the bhstam talk page and posted the usurpation notice. As bhstamm I responded that I did not object.
