Your request seems ok, but you should notice that, due to a limitation of our software, the first letter of a username must be capitalized. As a result, your username, as you have requested it, would end up being "IBookit", instead of the "iBookit" you typed. Can you confirm that you'd still want that username regardless of that? I'm asking because this is a common format where the "i" is often expected to be in lowercase, so I'm wondering if that would have been your intention. As for your request concerning a different Wikipedia, notice that local Bureaucrats only have access to the tools within their local project, which means that the Bureaucrats on this Wikipedia can only change usernames for accounts on this Wikipedia.     • I'm not sure what you mean by stability. If you abandon an account, any editing that account did will still be extant unless later supplanted by edits of another account.   • We also have a User:Cheeser1138, but the two have a combined 8 edits, 7 of which are over a year old (and the other edit is 6 months old). Judging by precedent on this page and its archives, it seemed reasonable for me to request such a change. For example, a username was changed to Tapir2001 although a Tapir55 and Tapirs65 seem to have already existed, and likewise Nat32 was given to a user (several similar usernames[5] existed before that name change, eg Nat2 and Nat3). Usernames with no edits are also overwritten (Cheeser1138 has no edits, actually) -- precident for that is in a name change to MRSC and the previously mentioned Nat32.
Usernames differentiated by numbers, in my experience, aren't really confusing (eg. Bob1987 vs. Bob666 vs. Bob). How distinctive should it be? Would CheeserOne be appropriate? Or Cheeser123? Cheeser11? I'm trying to figure out what the guidelines for "distinctive" are, because what I submitted seemed fine (to me and by precedent) and is my username everywhere else -- I don't have any idea what other username I'd want to use and if there is no specific ruling on what "distinctive" means, would it not make sense to rule by precedent (which I've cited) or get a second opinion on this matter? I don't want to sound combative or indignant or anything, I'm certainly not in any such state, I'm just seriously confused as to how these guidelines on "distincitiveness" are interpreted/enforced. And I mean, I could just as easily go register under the username Cheeser1, I'm just trying to play fair and give my contributions continuity, for the Wikipedia's sake (and to keep credit where it's due without splitting things up).
